Funding for Impact projects is available for STFC funded research through the Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) scheme.
IAA aims to support activities that enhance the exploitation of the outputs of STFC funded research, and enable wider professional development.
Now Open: ‘Expression of interest’ call 2022

The award will support knowledge exchange activities for work funded through STFC’s core science programme in FY 21/22.
Funded projects will focus on knowledge exchange, increasing the probability of commercialisation of the research or improving the commercial skill set of the researchers.
Examples of activities eligible under this grant are:

Innovation and commercialisation proof-of concept projects

Market research project: market assessment and commercial potential studies for new technologies being developed by STFC researchers

Industry / stakeholder secondments

Industry / stakeholder engagement and community building workshops

Skills training on commercialisation, entrepreneurship and similar professional development
This call is aimed at relatively short term (<6 month) and small scale (up to £25K) projects. Please also contact us if you have a potential project which does not fit the timescale or budget for this call, as there may be future opportunities for larger-scale, longer-term funding.
All project activities need to be completed by 31st March 2023.
