Large, cross-University research proposals can be of high strategic value but are also often cumbersome to organise and develop, due to their complex administrative load. The Research Strategy Office is happy to offer support to ease the preparation of such proposals. Examples of assistance include the following:
- Coordinating preparation of the bid from conception to submission
- Distilling funder guidance and advising on non-scientific content
- Facilitating communications across the PI team
- Helping identify internal and external partners and acting as a liaison
- Working with colleagues in the Research Operations Office, Strategic Partnerships Office, Development and Alumni Relations, External Affairs and Communications, etc. to obtain supporting text and documents, where relevant
- Organising internal peer review and practice interview panels
