Cross-disciplinary research themes and funding calls are fundamental to the research and funding landscape. In responding to such calls, large, complex and collaborative proposals often need to be put together within a short timeframe and in an increasingly competitive environment. To this end the University has set up 2 funds to provide support for development of large collaborative grant proposals:
- Large Grant Contributions Fund, which aims to provide financial contributions to large collaborative grant proposals
- Bid Preparation Fund, which provides small grants to enable preparation of large collaborative bids.
The Research Strategy Office also offers application support to strategic bids with cross-University involvement, including coordinating preparation of the bid from conception to submission, collecting supplementary information and data, liaising with other professional services, and working with Research Operations Office colleagues to manage administrative portions of the application process.
