The Research Strategy Office (RSO) supports the work of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, the Heads of the Schools and the Research Policy Committee to devise and implement strategies and policies to maintain and increase the University's research funding; shape the University’s response to a changing research landscape and the requirements of our funding partners; and enhance Cambridge’s standing as a world-leading institution.
The Research Strategy Office team also works with researchers and research groups to help develop collaborative cross-School, cross-disciplinary research activity, facilitate the development of institutional relationships with major research funders, support the University's submission to the REF, oversee certain cross-School grants for impact acceleration and collaboration, and manage University's response to major funding calls.
