Whiteboard with a mind-map relating to research impact.

The Social Science Impact Conference is aimed at all social scientists interested in knowledge exchange and impact.

The ESRC IAA Steering Group warmly invites all social scientists interested in knowledge exchange, impact, and research engagement beyond the university environment to the inaugural Social Science Impact Conference. This includes PhD students, post-docs and Early Career Researchers.

We also invite researchers outside of the social sciences hoping to meet and engage with social scientists, as well as potential collaborators from outside of the university.

The conference will be an opportunity to hear from researchers and colleagues about successful impact case studies from around the University of Cambridge. You will also get the chance to bring your own research to develop your pathways to impact. The Steering Group will offer guidance and advice on how to plan and write a successful application.

The ESRC IAA is a 4-year grant (2019-2023) of circa £1million to accelerate impact from social science research.

The conference will be held on 30th March 2020 from 10:15-3:30 at Murray Edwards College. Lunch will be included.

Following the conference, we will be hosting a drinks reception at the same venue, giving you the chance to network with speakers and other attendees.
