POST (Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology) Academic Parliamentary Fellowships

The UK Parliament is piloting an Academic Fellowship Scheme in partnership with ESRC IAAs to offer academic researchers at any career stage the opportunity to work on specific projects from inside Westminster. The Scheme includes opportunities for academics to work on specific project proposed by offices inside Parliament (directed calls), as well as enabling academics to propose a project of their choosing (open calls). The next deadline for an open call is Monday 4 September 2017.

  • The Scheme has been endorsed by the ESRC and will be funded from the IAA grant.
  • Academic researchers employed by the University of Cambridge are eligible to apply.
  • College employees may apply if they are affiliated to a University department and can demonstrate the support of that department.
  • The maximum amount that can be requested is £2,000 (to cover travel/subsistence).
  • The IAA cannot support requests for salary replacement.

If you wish to apply for a POST fellowship, please agree the topic of your application with the POST contact, Dr Caroline Kenny kennyc@parliament.uk
